Jaden's Hectic Birthday weekend!

Jaden Had his 5th Birthday on Friday. I still Just can't believe how fast he is growing up! I absolutely love his age though. He is so independent but then he still needs his mommy just enough. I do miss the days when he would just sit still and snuggle on my lap though.

We started off the day by having pancakes and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Jaden's request of course. I don't know if the pancake mix was bad or what but they were nasty! I ended up just throwing them away! I hope it wasn't my cooking! LOL! I let him open his prese4nts from me then so I could watch him enjoy them while it wasn't so crazy.

Around noon Cynthia and Madison came and picked us up and we went to McDonald's to let the kids play for a while. We probably stayed about 2 hours because we got to chatting and the kids were just having fun playing. Cynthia still had to get Jaden a present so we went to Target then home to get ready to go out to dinner.

We decided to go to Benihana's for dinner with my Mom and her husband. I invited Cynthia along as well because she had never been there. Benihana's has always been a favorite with our family. My brothers had other plans and I was bummed they couldn't go but we had fun anyways. Jaden like watching our guy cook the food. He was cracking up the whole time! He especially liked the volcano they make out of the onions. I have never seen a little guy like salad as much as he does! He ate his whole bowl and then tried to take mine! It was pretty funny. At the end of Dinner they came and let him blow out a candle the put on a little Budah guy and sang to him. Then they took a little polaroid picture and gave it to us. I love those because I have some from when I was little. We had brought some cupcakes that Cynthia and I made the day before so he had a cupcake and a bowl of icecream. The kid never turns down sweets!

The next day we had his party at Chuck E Cheese. I wasn't to thrilled about having the party there in the middle of a Saturday afternoon but that's what my boy wanted so he got it. This year at least! From now on I can say "Jaden you already had your party at Chuck E. Cheese!" Thank goodness because I never want to do it again. I couldn't enjoy myself because I was just stressed to the max! The people there are extremely disorganized! All that matters is he had fun though! I don't have much more to say about that experience so here are some pictures.

The Rundown

Well I have never really blogged before but I thought that it might be a nice way to update family and friends of the goings on in our daily lives. We recently just moved back to Vancouver after living in Ohio with my Dad for almost a year. We decided to move out there last August shortly after my Papaw passed away. I needed to reconnect with that whole side of my family and get some encouragement and motivation, mostly the motivation, I seem to always have encouragement wherever I am.
Things went well out there, I started taking my pre requisites for the nursing program, I should hopefully be accepted into the program withing the next two or three years. It is going to take a lot of hard work but it will definitely be worth it in the end. I decided that working at a restaurant would be best for my busy schedule so I got a job at an Applebee's out there. I just never seemed to get over my homesickness so I moved back home after spring quarter got out. I have taken the summer off and am starting classes at Clark at the end of this month.
Jaden's 5th birthday is tomorrow. It is amazing how fast time goes by. It seems like just yesterday I was heading to the hospital to have him. We are taking him Put Put Golfing tomorrow evening and probably getting some dinner, then Saturday we are having his party at Chuck E. Cheese. He is going to be going to Head Start this year. He has another year until he starts Kindergarten which I am actually happy about. I think he needs more time to develop socially before he goes. Not to mention the time I still need! I'm not ready for my baby to be in Kindergarten yet.
Well That's all I have time for, Cynthia is helping me figure this whole blog thing out. I will try to update after Jaden's Party.
